Study Shows Increased Drug Access, Lower Costs From Medicare Part D

Depression as Predictor of Mortality Examined in Berlin Aging Study

However difficult the burdens and fears of aging might seem, the depression that could result is not an inevitable predictor of mortality among much of the elderly population. Brain Atrophy Associated With Low B12 Levels in Elderly

NSAIDs Show No Benefit in Staving Off Cognitive Decline

The nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) naproxen and celecoxib (Celebrex, Searle) failed to reduce the risk for cognitive decline among men and women aged 70 and over with a family history of Alzheimer’s disease (AD), in the latest paper based on ADAPT (Alzheimer’s Disease Anti-inflammatory Prevention Trial), this one in the Archives of Neurology (2008;65:896-905). read more & comment
